Born on 25 November 1968, Jillian Noel Hennessy is a energetic Canadian performer and actress who has been praised for her notable contributions on American television. She was a star in American television series Law & Order, where she was a delight to viewers as prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three years. In Crossing Jordan she played Jordan Cavanaugh during six seasons. She also put her acting abilities on display in the films RoboCop 3 Most Wanted as in Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) and The Acting Class. In these films, she also demonstrated her writing and co-directing talents. Hennessy got her start in acting along with her sister acting as twin callgirls in Dead Ringers. She briefly appeared in Buddy The Buddy Holly Story The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in the year 1990. In 1993, the actress left the realm of musicals and into a sci-fi genre with the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. Later that same year she was promoted to assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the hit NBC Crime Drama Law & Order. In this role, she fascinated viewers for three years up to 1996. Parker has appeared in films such as RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys on the Side, West Wing Angels In America as well as Boys On The Side. She received a Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award for her part in the series. Parker has also been awarded the Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her role as Proof in Broadway.
