Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the well-known professional brand name of Winona Laura Hoowitz, born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her on her home town. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother, were both authors and editors. Ryder's father came from a Jewish family Ryder considers herself Jewish. Ryder has the title of being the younger sister of Uria and also has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder's parents moved out of Mendocino, California, when she was seven years old. There was no electricity. Ryder developed into a fervent books reader since there was no TV. Ryder at the age of 12 took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. When she was 15, Ryder was cast in Lucas which was her debut major film. Ryder faced bullying in high school. Ryder hoped she would be able to improve this. However, it didn't come to pass. She continued to pursue her dream. In 1988 she had her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder kept playing successful roles in a variety of films. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her performance as a character in The Age of Innocence (1993).
